San Francisco based J. Money first took the helm of a mixer and two turntables in high school with a mismatched set of off-brand turntables and a Radio Shack mixer. In no time at all vinyl was taking over his room and his life. Always a music fanatic, J puts all his energy in the mix and never lets a dull moment slip by.

Raised on rock and soul, living hip-hop and then discovering house music in the nineties, J’s sets bring multiple layers fusing hip-hop, house, top 40, electro, soul, rock and more but holding tight to one purpose: packing the dance floor. With turntable skills that combine dance music’s subtle accuracies and flow along with hip-hop’s tricks and layering, his sound is a unique blend and part of what makes him a “guaranteed party rocker”.
